This year’s Antique Collection’s wheated bourbon lost 61% of its volume due to evaporation, according to Buffalo Trace. The significant loss of the angel’s share has created an incredibly concentrated and powerful whiskey. The nose pops from the glass with sweet corn, vanilla frosting, and rich spiced wood. The palate is bold and flavorful, with Mexican hot chocolate, mashmallow, and spiced fruits. The finish is long and robust. 

Buffalo Trace Distillery is a historic producer located in Frankfort, Kentucky. It has been known by several names over the course of its history, but claims to be the oldest continuously operating distillery in the United States, with records going back to 1775 and the oldest building dating from 1792.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
