Billecart Salmon
View Full Description [+ Read More]
Billecart-Salmon is a family-owned Champagne house founded in 1818 and based in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ in the Marne Valley, producing exclusively Champagne across a range anchored by traditional méthode champenoise. The house practices extended lees aging and a double cold-settling clarification technique that defines its house style. The Brut Réserve serves as the foundational non-vintage expression, while the Brut Rosé - available in 375ml and 750ml formats - blends Pinot Noir, Meunier, and Chardonnay with a small addition of still red wine. The Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru draws exclusively from Chardonnay grown in classified villages, and the zero-dosage Brut Nature forgoes any added sugar. At the top of the range, the Elisabeth Salmon Brut Rosé 2012 represents the house's prestige cuvée, named for the co-founder.
