William Larue Weller is the uncut, unfiltered, barrel-proof wheated bourbon of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, aged around twelve years and released once annually. Named for the pioneering distiller credited with popularizing wheated bourbon, it's routinely rated among the finest whiskeys in the world and has won "best bourbon" honors multiple times.

They're the closest of relatives: the same wheated mashbill from the same distillery, with WLW bottled at full barrel proof where Pappy 15 is cut to 107. Many enthusiasts consider WLW the equal or better of Pappy at a similar age, with more intensity and cask character, which makes it the connoisseur's pick of the wheated unicorns.
