Opened in 2014 by independent bottler Adelphi, Ardnamurchan Distillery takes its name from the peninsula on Scotland’s west coast where it stands. This Highland single malt’s Tokaji cask designation references the wines of Hungary’s historic Tokaj region, connecting its Scottish distilling roots with a distinctive Central European winemaking tradition.

This first ever AD/ Tokaji Cask Release was made with 100% unpeated spirit matured in a combination of 28 Bourbon barrels re-racked in Tokaji casks and two fully matured Bourbon barrels. Yielding 8736 bottles.      

Acacia Honey. Fresh pear and green apples, bamboo, cornflakes, sandalwood, sour apple sweets, baked banana. Bright combination of floral & funky. Sugared almonds, nashi pear, sweet & salty popcorn, white pepper & mace, lemon pith, candied ginger, rose petals and pine wood. Saline, spicy, balanced.

Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For added peace of mind, we offer shipping protection against loss or damage at checkout through OrderProtection.com.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

Yes. During periods of extreme heat, we can include optional ice packs in our insulated shippers and select an overnight shipping service & a Weather Waiver. Otherwise, it would be unsafe to ship in those conditions. We can also hold your shipment at no charge for up to one year upon request. We flag temps above 72 °F or below 32 °F as extreme.
