Founded in 1879, Remoissenet Père et Fils owns and leases 25 hectares and ferments and ages its wines in 350-litre barrels with judicious use of new oak. The Premier Cru Santenay-Beaurepaire exudes complex aromas of lime, carambola, fresh pineapple and lemon balm in the glass. Intense aroma with a hint of pine wood that heralds the gentle ageing in barriques. Very juicy on the palate from the very first sip, with animating acidity. The flavour of this Burgundy is reminiscent of salted lemon, rhubarb compote and white stone fruit and is accompanied by a slightly creamy touch. A perfect match for fish, mild massaman curry and fried calamari.

Founded in 1879 as a classic négociant in Beaune, Remoissenet Père et Fils today also holds 25 hectares of vineyards, some owned and some leased. In addition, it has access to some exceptional grapes from renowned winegrowers they are friends with. But whatever the source, the team around Pierre-Antoine Rovani and oenologist Claudie Jobard demand the highest quality for each and every wine. The grapes are given an extended time to ripen, until they develop the unmistakable power and complexity that distinguish a Remoissenet. Wood is essential, but never an end in itself. Both white and red wines are fermented and aged in barrels, usually 350 litres. New oak is perfectly adapted to each wine. It's the terroir and the grape variety that set the tone: intense, deep and very enticing, from Gevrey-Chambertin to Beaune, Meursault, Monrachet or Givry in Côte Chalonnaise.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
