Wine Spectator
“This red is fresh and light-bodied, displaying cherry, raspberry, spice, tomato leaf and Tuscan scrub flavors. The tannins are nimble yet sinewy, leaving a light astringency on the earthy finish. Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2028. 2,000 cases imported.”
Highlights
Tenuta San Guido Le Difese Toscana 2023
Le Difese, whose first vintage was released in 2002, is the most recent addition to the range at Tenuta San Guido. Its name derives from the tusks of the wild boar, represented in gold on the label. It is the estate’s way of welcoming guests arriving from all over the world. The wine expresses elegance, freshness, and excellent drinkability—fully in line with our oenological vision. Sangiovese, blended and enhanced with Cabernet Sauvignon, gives the wine its honest character and versatility at the table, making it a convivial, food-friendly choice.
