Bright, light gold in color, this Bourgogne Chardonnay opens on almond, white fruits, lemon and lime blossom honey; the palate is fruity and ample, with a generous body, a fat and tender finish, and salivating freshness. From a 26-hectare organic-conversion estate in Burgundy, it reflects clay-limestone vineyards and the regional Chardonnay-led style of Bourgogne Blanc.

 Bright, light gold color. Nose dominated by almond, white fruits, lemon, lime blossom honey. mouth to fruity ample, stimulating, adorned with a generous body, a fat and tender finish, a freshness salivating. Rich, full white Burgundy.

Today Le Domaine Vincent Wengier  operates 26 ha of vines, spread over 4 appellations. Chablis, Petit Chablis, Aligoté and Bourgogne Chardonnay. And soon the Bourgogne rouge which has just been planted, for a first harvest in 2021.
The soils are clay-limestone, the subsoils are of course from the Kimmeridgian, which made Chablis famous.
The vines are grown in narrow rows, typical of the Burgundy region.

Since this year the estate has been converted to ORGANIC AGRICULTURE. AB certification will be for the 2023 harvest.
The Vincent Wengier estate has had HVE (high environmental value) certification since 2019 vintage. That is to say, I help the fauna an flora to develop around the vines. The natural environment is more balanced. 

A broad title, that can cover white wines made from the Yonne (Chablis) in the north to the Mâconnais in the south, Bourgogne Blanc is predominantly based around regional flagship variety, Chardonnay.

Bourgogne Blanc is a title covering still white wines produced under the regional Bourgogne appellation, in the Burgundy region of central eastern France. Created in 1937, the broad Bourgogne title covers those Burgundy wines produced in areas not covered by more location-specific appellations.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

Yes. During periods of extreme heat, we can include optional ice packs in our insulated shippers and select an overnight shipping service & a Weather Waiver. Otherwise, it would be unsafe to ship in those conditions. We can also hold your shipment at no charge for up to one year upon request. We flag temps above 72 °F or below 32 °F as extreme.
