Suigei, meaning Drunken Whale, is named after a warlord in Kochi Prefecture in the Edo period who loved eating and drinking. Suigei Brewing Company aims to create sake that pairs perfectly with any dish on the dinner table. They’ve achieved their goal with a versatility which brings a reserved ricey nose and milder umami with pleasant acidity when slightly chilled, and richer flavors with longer aftertaste when slightly warmed.

If we have multiple quantities of the same item, the photo represents the general condition of all bottles under that SKU. Any significant condition issues, such as low ullage or bin-stained labels, will be clearly noted in the product description. Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For added peace of mind, we offer shipping protection against loss or damage at checkout through OrderProtection.com.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

Yes. During periods of extreme heat, we include complimentary ice packs in our insulated shippers. However, to fully protect your investment, we strongly recommend selecting an overnight shipping service in these conditions. We can also hold your shipment at no charge for up to one year upon request.
