A brand new project from Dave Phinney, OLG is sourced from an extremely cold, hillside vineyard site in the western Sta. Rita Hills. Aged in French oak for 13 months, 54% of which was new.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Our Lady of Guadalupe is a rich, textured wine. Red/purplish fruit is super primary in its first impression. Rose petal, cedar and cinnamon are some of the notes that fill out the layers with a bit of coaxing. Readers will find an opulent, juicy wine, very much in keeping with Dave Phinney's style. Aging is 13 months in French oak, 54% new. This is a terrific showing from Phinney's new OLG label.

A soft pomegranate-syrup aroma meets with delicate sagebrush and tart plum skin notes on the nose of this bottling from a brand new vineyard. Vibrant acidity pairs well with the turned earth and sage notes of the palate, where a raspberry sorbet flavor brings the fruit forward.
