Mount Gay has been making rum longer than any other rum distillery in the world and is proud to have 300 years of heritage, mastering our craft since 1703. Our heritage blend, Mount Gay Eclipse, is named after the 1910 total solar eclipse that was visible from Barbados. It's a blend of rums distilled in traditional copper pot and column stills, then matured for 2 years solely in American whiskey casks.

Eclipse is the embodiment of the Mount Gay style with notes of vanilla, almond, ripe banana and dark chocolate. Bright medium amber colour; fragrant aromas of molasses, white raisin, caramel, vanilla and clove; on the palate it is full bodied and warming, with flavours of Demerara sugar, candied ginger, caramel and vanilla spice that linger on a long finish.

If we have multiple quantities of the same item, the photo represents the general condition of all bottles under that SKU. Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For added peace of mind, we offer shipping protection against loss or damage at checkout through OrderProtection.com.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
