Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch No. 9 Single Malt
Kilkerran Heavily Peated has been matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, adding a fruity, sweet character alongside its savoury peat centre. There are aromas of freshly baked shortbread, coconut and smoked green banana peels on the nose, leading to notes of digestive biscuits, gooseberries and bracing peat smoke on the palate.
The Glengyle Distillery has a rich history. It originally produced whisky between 1872 and 1925, then after 79 non-producing years, the distillery was reinstated by Mitchell’s Glengyle Ltd in 2004. This secured Campbeltown’s status as a whisky region.
