Highlights
Le Comte de Malartic Rouge 2019 750ml
A classic Cabernet Sauvignon heavy left-bank with 85% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 8% Cabernet Franc, with additional years of bottle developing tertiary aromas. Forest aromas, well-worn leather and dried nuts are inviting with black cherries and bitter orange aromas adding zest to the ark fruits. This second label by Boyd-Cantenac is made soft and approachable upon release allowing for the maturity show after less than a decade.

Full of bramble fruit, fresh and expressive on the nose, smells rich and ripe with the softest hint of perfume. Unfussy, fruit to the fore, with a brightness to the blackcurrant and red cherry fruit. A subtle creaminess, too, which lends definition and texture. Good acidity with freshness and life. Some dryness to the tannins at the end.
