High West Bourye Old "Limited Sighting" Label Straight Whiskey
The old "Limited Sighting" label from batch 18/19. A blend of straight bourbon and two straight rye whiskeys (thus the name, which combines parts of both).
The jackalope, also called an antelabbit, is an antlered species of rabbit, a cross between a jack rabbit and an antelope. It is rumored that pockets of jackalope populations continue to persist in the American West, its native home. That's why High West created Bourye®, our proprietary blend of mature Bourbon and Rye, both favorites of real cowboys and sure to attract even the most finicky of jackalopes. All whiskeys in this carefully crafted blend are a minimum of 10 years old and sourced from multiple distilleries.
High West Distillery is an award-winning Utah whiskey producer. The business was founded in 2009 by biochemist David Perkins, and became the first legal distillery to trade in Utah since the 1870s.
The High West range includes Bourbon, multiple ryes and Campfire, an unusual blend of Bourbon and rye with Scotch whisky. Barrel-aged cocktails, vodka and an oat whiskey complete the regular line up, and several limited-edition products appear periodically.
The first distillery was a small and historic garage with a 250 gallon still located at the foot of the Park City ski runs. In 2015, a 1600 gallon copper pot still facility was opened high in the Rocky Mountains near Wanship, and production was relocated. Today, the brand has expanded to distributed at four unique locations across Utah.
