Highlights
Dominique Lafon Bourgogne Blanc 2023
Two-thirds of the blend comes from 30-year-old vines in Puligny-Montrachet’s Femelottes; the balance is from 70-year-old vines in Grandes Coutures, just beneath Meursault Limozin. This is a benchmark Bourgogne, made entirely in oak, with mostly 500-litre barrels to preserve freshness and avoid obvious wood character. Creamy, sophisticated and with impressive complexity, this is difficult to resist.
Pale in colour with a faint lime tint, a most delicious floral nose, all with the elegance which Dominique champions, expressing itself beautifully across the palate. Not very high in acidity, but a friendly classic.
