This is a vintage 2002 bottling of Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon, dumped on May 15, 2002. Early Blanton’s bottlings are sought after because they represent an earlier production period at Buffalo Trace Distillery.
Blanton’s is aged in Warehouse H, the distillery’s metal-clad warehouse commissioned under Albert B. Blanton. The warehouse is known for more dramatic temperature swings than traditional brick warehouses, contributing to faster maturation and a distinctive barrel-aging environment.
A strong bottle for collectors focused on vintage Blanton’s, Buffalo Trace production, or date-specific bourbon releases.
