It is a place full of growth, tradition and beauty where Tequila Siete Leguas comes to life and then extends to every place where people appreciate the flavor of real tequila.

Tequila Siete Leguas is red soil, agave, our people and our roots. In 1952 Ignacio González Vargas, founder of Casa Siete Leguas, began producing tequila using artisanal production processes. He named his tequila in honor of General Francisco Villa’s horse, El Siete Leguas.

A legua (league) is 8.1 miles; 7 leagues is the distance between many towns in Mexico. General Villa’s horse was given this name because it ran that distance fearlessly from one town to another always persevering, never straying, while carrying the General into battle.

If we have multiple quantities of the same item, the photo represents the general condition of all bottles under that SKU. Any significant condition issues, such as low ullage or bin-stained labels, will be clearly noted in the product description. We use premium, industry-standard materials to protect every shipment. Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For added peace of mind, we offer shipping protection against loss or damage at checkout through OrderProtection.com.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

Yes. During periods of extreme heat, we can include optional ice packs in our insulated shippers and select an overnight shipping service & a Weather Waiver. Otherwise, it would be unsafe to ship in those conditions. We can also hold your shipment at no charge for up to one year upon request. We flag temps above 72 °F or below 32 °F as extreme.
