A Guatemalan rum, Ron Zacapa Centenario XO Rum Solera Gran Reserva Especial is a very desirable dark rum that saw a Gold win at the International Rum festival among other awards, including Platinum in the Super Premium category in 2002! The nose is very complex, with notes of brown sugar, molasses, calf leather, bourbon, cedar wood, pipe tobacco, chocolate, fruit and brandy butter. As If that weren’t enough, then comes the palate, with notes of intense brown sugar, spiced oak, toffee, more pipe tobacco and more cedar. A long finish that is very warm with sweet and spicy notes. Just divine.
