Aged for 5-6 years, Cavehill delivers exceptional quality and flavor at a remarkable value, setting it apart from the competition. This bourbon embodies the possibilities of American whiskey, blending tradition with innovation to create a spirit that is as unique as the legacy it honors.

Cavehill’s contemporary mash bill consists of corn, malted barley, honey malted barley, and malted wheat. We take the extra care to malt all of our secondary grains to increase their depth, giving us a flavor profile like no other. We age Cavehill in hand-picked Kelvin Cooperage American White Oak Barrels. When the bourbon reaches maturity, we intimately blend a small batch of no more than 15 barrels to create the finished product.

It begins in Tehran and winds up in Louisville. It’s 1979 and the revolution has erupted. I’m 14, seated with my family and other anxious passengers in a commercial airliner, escaping the home that no longer wants us. As we cross the airspace to Türkiye, everyone on the plane breaks into applause. We settle in Southern California where I immediately feel at home in the laid-back, beach-centric culture that promotes self-expression. In truth, I felt American long before I set foot in America. Individuality and freedom of expression are values I recognized as a kid, treasure as an immigrant American and, most importantly, celebrate as a whiskey maker.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

Yes. During periods of extreme heat, we can include optional ice packs in our insulated shippers and select an overnight shipping service & a Weather Waiver. Otherwise, it would be unsafe to ship in those conditions. We can also hold your shipment at no charge for up to one year upon request. We flag temps above 72 °F or below 32 °F as extreme.
