We are pleased to announce the release from Bordeaux of MONDOT 2018, the second wine of Chateau Troplong Mondot (1st Classified Growth B in Saint-Emilion).

 As you may know, under the supervision of Aymeric de Gironde (previously from Cos d’Estournel), Troplong Mondot has dramatically changed the style of its wines bringing more finesse, precision, freshness while keeping the aromatic intensity since vintage 2017.

The second wine of Troplong Mondot, the 2018 Troplong Mondot Mondot comes mostly from designated parcels and is 100% Merlot. It shows the new style of this estate beautifully and offers remarkable purity in its black raspberry and cassis fruits as well as complex notes of white flowers, violets, and spice. Medium-bodied, silky, and beautifully balanced, it has a terrific floral quality as well as ultra-fine tannins, no hard edges, and an attractive, chalky minerality on the finish.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
