Made of 86% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Barrel Aged, and 72% Neutral American Oak for 14 months, this is filled with aromas of bing cherry, red cherry, cranberry and pomegranate. It has a juicy, ripe entry and a soft, round fruit driven palate followed by a very long finish.

Founded in 1997 by brothers Butch and Jerry Milbrandt, today it is Butch with his children Buck and Kerri Milbrandt running the estate.  A true pioneer of the Columbia Valley wine region, Butch Milbrandt envisioned great potential for winemaking in Eastern Washington, and turned a potato and apple farm into a world-class winery. In 1997, this fourth-generation farmer took a risk in planting grapes and eventually became recognized for helping establish two of the top AVAs in Washington State: Ancient Lakes and Wahluke Slope. 

The family's current winemaker is Canadian-born Kendall Mix, who arrived in Washington in 1993 and ranks among the state’s most important winemaking figures. He worked for two of Washington’s largest producers–Chateau Ste. Michelle and Goose Ridge Vineyards after he graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree in microbiology, and studied viticulture and enology at the University of California-Davis. Today he is taking Milbrandt to new, exciting heights.
