Clos Marcilly is an outlying Premier Cru vineyard in the western portion of the Mercurey appellation in the Cote Chalonnaise sub-region of Burgundy. It is one of the original five Premier Cru vineyards named in 1943 and, despite its somewhat isolated location, maintains a good reputation for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay based wines to this day.

The walled vineyard covers around 7.5 hectares (18 acres) and lies just 100 meters east of Grand Clos Fourtoul on the southeastern corner of the main band of Premiers Crus vineyards north of Mercurey town. Clos Marcilly is entirely surrounded village-level vineyards on a very gentle, southeast-facing slope, just north of the hamlet of Etroyes.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
