Kilchoman 15 Year Old Sherry Cask Single Cask is a rare and exclusive release from the iconic Islay distillery, Kilchoman. Part of the Impex Cask Evolution Series, this 2024 release showcases the unique craftsmanship that defines Kilchoman’s single malt whisky. Nestled in the rugged and picturesque surroundings of Rockside Farm on the north-west coast of Islay, Kilchoman is renowned for its 100% Islay production, making it one of the few distilleries to grow, malt, distill, mature, and bottle all on the island.

This special release was matured for 12 years in an Oloroso sherry butt followed by a 3-year second maturation in an Oloroso hogshead, offering a rich interplay of sherry-soaked fruit, smoky peat, and the maritime influence of Islay. Bottled exclusively for Impex Beverages, this 15-year-old whisky captures the essence of Islay with its bold, layered flavors.

Deep amber with ruby highlights.An inviting bouquet of rich dried fruit, sultanas, and figs wrapped in the earthy smoke of peat, with subtle hints of leather and dark chocolate. Lush and velvety on the palate with rich sherry-soaked fruits, toasted almonds, and a gentle smokiness. Layers of sweet malt, raisins, and a hint of sea salt add complexity, while the peat smoke remains beautifully balanced. Long and warming, with lingering peat smoke, dark fruit, and a touch of spice, leaving a lasting impression of both sweetness and smoke.

Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

Yes. During periods of extreme heat, we can include optional ice packs in our insulated shippers and select an overnight shipping service & a Weather Waiver. Otherwise, it would be unsafe to ship in those conditions. We can also hold your shipment at no charge for up to one year upon request. We flag temps above 72 °F or below 32 °F as extreme.
