Considered by many to be the jewel in the crown of the Jack Daniels stable, Silver Select is bottled at a significantly higher strength, resulting in a greater intensity of flavor. A full-on Tennessee whiskey experience.

Originally released in 1997 as a Travel Retail exclusive, Jack Daniel's Silver Select is bottled at a higher strength of 100 Proof (50% ABV). The 1st generation bottle design was produced from 1997 until 2010, when it was re-packaged in the new square single barrel bottle. JD Silver Select was finally discontinued in 2015, and was replaced by Jack Daniel’s 100 Proof in 2016.

Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

Yes. During periods of extreme heat, we include complimentary ice packs in our insulated shippers.
