In early 2025, Glenmorangie announced a new, years-long creative collaboration with legendary actor Harrison Ford. The partnership centered around an episodic short film series titled Once Upon a Time in Scottland which is notably directed by Australian actor/filmmaker Joel Edgerton.

The film series takes a humorous look at Ford’s introduction to the making and maturation of Glenmorangie. And now, that collaboration is expanding into new whisky itself. In early May 2026, Glenmorangie and Ford announced a new product, the first custom blend from their partnership: Glenmorangie Harrison Ford Limited Edition.

It got an advance taste of the whisky, and to cut to the chase, it’s good! On the nose, expect some classic Highland character, with loads of citrus rind, ripe mango, lemon icing, and honeybuns on the nose. (There’s also a thread of toasted oak.) The palate is inviting and—at least on first sip—a little subdued for its 93 proof, with both tropical fruit and buttercream taking the lead. Flavors build gradually in intensity, and after a few tastes, there’s a nice interplay between classic maltiness and passionfruit custard. The aforementioned “tangy character” is certainly present and accounted for, which manifests close to orange sherbert. Butterscotch candy leads on the back palate and through the finish, which is also hefty on caramel and toffee.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
