Force Majeure is an ultra-premium winery located in the Walla Walla Valley, specializing in estate-grown, single-vineyard Bordeaux and Rhône-varietal wines. From its inception, Force Majeure has been defined by unwavering commitment to outstanding viticulture and exemplary winemaking. Our original estate vineyard is located in the famous Red Mountain AVA and we have added two new vineyard sites over the past couple of years in the Walla Walla Valley. Our estate vineyards are painstakingly farmed by a stellar team.

“Force Majeure” describes the relentless, powerful elements of Nature that form the terroir of our vineyard. It also identifies the “unstoppable force” initiated when the highest level of viticulture is combined with incredible winemaking talent.

Entices with a savory burst of crushed ashen stone, gravel dust, pencil lead and blackcurrant...totally classic in feel, silken and sleek yet potent, with energizing acidity and masses of red and blue fruit complicated by a bitter tinge of cocoa toward the close.

It has a terrific sense of purity in its darker red and blue fruits as well as complex smoked tobacco, graphite, and chocolaty nuances. With medium to full-bodied richness, a layered, round, supple mouthfeel, and beautiful tannins, it has way more finesse and elegance than just about every other Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon out there.

This full-bodied red has blackcurrants, bark and wet leaves at the forefront, alongside cigar box, cocoa and cedar. It’s powerful on the palate, while remaining elegant and without being heavy, held strong by firm tannins that accompany the black fruit.

Yes, in most cases, the photograph on the product page is of the specific bottle for sale. If we have multiple quantities of the same item, the photo represents the general condition of all bottles under that SKU. Any significant condition issues, such as low ullage or bin-stained labels, will be clearly noted in the product description. We use premium, industry-standard materials to protect every shipment. Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For added peace of mind, we offer shipping protection against loss or damage at checkout through OrderProtection.com.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
