From one of Italy’s most iconic natural winemakers, Emidio Pepe, comes this exceptional Pecorino from the Colli Aprutini IGT in Abruzzo. Known for his commitment to organic and biodynamic farming, Pepe’s Pecorino is a rare and captivating expression of the grape, showcasing the complexity and depth that this lesser-known varietal can achieve. Hand-harvested and vinified using traditional methods, this Pecorino is fermented naturally and bottled without filtration, allowing the wine to express the full character of its terroir.

Emidio Pepe is certainly the most traditional and artisanal wine producer to be found on the international market today. The winemaker learned winemaking from his grandfather and, with his basic idea of "less is more", he still defies the tempting use of labour-saving pesticides and mechanised processes. For this reason, there is still not a single machine in his Abruzzo winery apart from a tractor.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

Yes. During periods of extreme heat, we can include optional ice packs in our insulated shippers and select an overnight shipping service & a Weather Waiver.
