Psychic Advisor is a tripped out, all seeing, West Coast Double IPA. This DIPA was brewed with a blend of 2-row and Pilsner base malts, to keep the body light, + a touch of wheat for maximum Pillowtops. It was hopped in the kettle, at psychic levels, with El Dorado, Amarillo, and Mosaic. Post fermentation, we read our palm, and it told us to do a big fucking dry hop. We obliged, and dumped in bags of more Mosaic, Strata, Amarillo, & our old dank pal CTZ. The resulting beer has big notes of candied mandarins, lime leaf, pine resin, and clairvoyant thoughts.
Poured a light amber clear color with four fingers of rocky white head. Could see tons of fast-moving bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Perfect layered foamy lacing. Perfect foamy retention.
The El Dorado really stood out on the nose, followed by Strata, Amarillo and Mosaic. Also melon, tangerine rind, orange peel, dank weed, pine, viney berry, lemon, lime, citrus and dry grass. Almost as good from the can.
Tasted almost as good as the nose. First thing that came to mind was El Segundo’s Strata obviously from the Strata. Also Amarillo, weed, pine, dank resin, tangerine rind, orange peel, El Dorado, melon, Mosaic, viney berry, lemon, lime, citrus, dry grass, aspirin and lingering black pepper.
Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Long, bitter, but smooth finish.
