Calisaya Liqueur 750ml

Once a common bitter liqueur in the pre-Prohibition era, Calisaya was actually a type of bitter made from chinchona bark rather than the name of a particular brand. It's been resurrected by a small producer in Eugene, Oregon who uses the chinchona along with various botanicals, flowers and Valencia oranges to produce an American amaro. Think Grand Marnier meets Nonino Amaro. Think delicious.

Traditional Italian amaro made from all-natural cinchona botanical and Seville oranges. Based on an old Italian family recipe, hand-made in Oregon in small batches using only natural ingredients and the pristine water of the McKenzie river. Silver Medal - San Francisco Spirits
