The Sangiovese Superiore Marzeno DOC Poggio Vicchio Romagna by Fattoria Zerbina is a wine that enchants with its simplicity and fragrance. Coming from a single vineyard, parcel 38, on the hill of the Vicchio farm of the same name, this wine is a hymn to the red clays of Marzeno. Its lively ruby appearance is a prelude to the olfactory notes of morello cherry and red cherry, embellished with a slightly mineral touch in the finish. On the palate, it is pleasantly dynamic, supported by slender tannins and pleasant acidity. 

Fattoria Zerbina, led with passion by Cristina Geminiani, produces high quality wines that represent the authentic expression of the territory. Each wine is born from a deep bond with the land, from listening to the hidden language of the vines and from dedication in the process of transforming grapes into wine. Fattoria Zerbina is known in particular for the enhancement of Sangiovese and Albana, with the use of innovative techniques such as noble rot on the plant and the Sauternes-style gradual harvest. 

Their wines are the result of a synthesis of multiple vineyards that adhere perfectly to the profile of that type of wine. With the Monograph project, the winery offers a prestigious collection of wines from individual Sangiovese vineyards trained in saplings, which best represent the territory to which they belong. Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
