Cooked agave and vanilla continue to shine through mirroring the aromas with the addition of mild black pepper, soft floral notes, and rounded out with a hint of smokiness from the charred oak. Complex but easy to drink, and true to an agave-forward profile. Lasting, slightly dry finish.

Felipe Camarena—brother of Carlos Camarena who makes El Tesoro, Ocho and Tapatío—believes in non-interventionist Tequila production that starts by using the healthiest and ripest agaves from the Los Altos Highlands. After a 22 hour roast in El Pandillo's stone oven (heated from the top and bottom for consistency in the cook), the piñas are pressed and fermented with native yeasts before double distillation on copper pot stills.

Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

Yes. During periods of extreme heat, we can include optional ice packs in our insulated shippers and select an overnight shipping service & a Weather Waiver. Otherwise, it would be unsafe to ship in those conditions. We can also hold your shipment at no charge for up to one year upon request. We flag temps above 72 °F or below 32 °F as extreme.
