Old Forester

View Full Description [+ Read More]

Old Forester is a Louisville, Kentucky bourbon distillery and the oldest continuously produced bourbon whiskey brand in the United States, having remained in uninterrupted production since 1870 under the Brown-Forman family. The distillery uses a set of three barrels - beginning, middle, and end of a rick warehouse - for each batch, a practice that defines its house character. Old Forester 1897 Bourbon pays tribute to the first bottled bourbon era, while Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style Bourbon is bottled at 115 proof to reflect illicit-era barrel proof. The annual Birthday Bourbon series, represented here by the 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2024 vintages, draws from a single day's production and represents the brand's most age-stated, vintage-specific whiskey program.
