Craigellachie is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery located in the village of Craigellachie, Scotland, operating since 1891 with worm tub condensers that produce a distinctively meaty, sulfurous character uncommon in the region. The distillery uses traditional copper pot stills and unpeated malted barley, with expressions aged across a range of cask types including the Bas Armagnac barrel finish found in one variant of the Craigellachie 13 Year Old. The core range moves from the Craigellachie 13 Year Old through the 17 Year Old and into the long-aged Exceptional Cask Series, which includes individual barrel releases such as the 23 Year Old Batch CR1995, the 23 Year Old cask 4575 at 115 proof, and the 24 Year Old cask 5229. The 31 Year Old Very Old Reserve represents the upper tier, while the 1973 20 Year Old SMWS 44.4 stands as a rare archive bottling.
