The Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye 2020 Release is a bold, uncut, and unfiltered straight rye whiskey from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC). This highly sought-after expression is named after Thomas H. Handy, the 19th-century bartender credited with popularizing the Sazerac cocktail. As a cask-strength rye, this release delivers an intense yet beautifully balanced combination of spice, sweetness, and depth.
Distilled in Spring 2014 and bottled in 2020, this whiskey was aged for 6 years and 4 months before being bottled at an impressive 129.0 proof (64.5% ABV). With its robust and complex profile, the 2020 release stands out as a prime example of the exceptional quality of Buffalo Trace's antique rye whiskey.
