This is Marie-Hélène and Gilles’ classic cuvée and their most important wine. It comes from 7 of their 15 acres. The wine ferments in concrete, and just under half is brought up in 1-2-year-old barrels while the rest ages in concrete. No fining; just a light filtration. Production averages 1,300 cases.

This vineyard, opposite the confluence of the Dordogne and Garonne rivers, has produced a rich wine with plenty of spice that comes from four plots. Black currants and spice come through strongly. Drink the wine now.

Aromas of blackcurrants, stewed blackberries, mocha, thyme and bay leaves. Showing some spicy elements too, with well-integrated tannins and a creamy, soft finish. 70% merlot, 20% malbec and 10% cabernet franc. Delicious now.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
