Talisker Storm is a dark, smoky, more brooding member of the Talisker family, with notes of wood, brine and spice that puts you right at the heart of a storm at sea. Talisker Storm is a perfect gift for adorers of Talisker, looking to explore depth of smoky, spicy quality.

Powerful, fresh-clean, and growing in complexity like a gathering storm. Sweet maltiness with ripe red berry fruit moves to smoke, brine, and an explosion of pepper. Mellow and rich, then very spicy: a pure, tongue-coating sweetness joins a nutty smokiness to embrace those spicier notes. Drier and of medium-length, with a lasting, smooth aftertaste, in which light peaty burnt embers can be found.

Tasting Notes

Thick and mouth-coating with wood smoke, brine, some tin and chilli heat too.

Initial brine, but not as abrupt as the 10 Year Old, quite creamy by comparison. Banana. Banana angel delight? Window putty, hint of sticking plasters and barbecues, citrus. White pepper develops towards the bottom of the glass.

Red chilli peppers and oak dryness with a hint of embers.

Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
