Macallan 18 Year Old Single Malt 1992 Original Box

Distilled in 1992, this version of the 18 year old is presented in the long-running shiny purple box used between 2006 and 2017.

Nose: Fresh oranges and berries (blueberry and black currant) and cherries.

Palate: Fresh berries, jams, orange juice and peel. Some vanilla, not very much maltiness. Marzipan pralines, cocoa powder, coffee grounds, leater and some old wood later with earthy undertones.  Interestingly fresh.

Finish: medium long, on Seville oranges, herbal notes and subtle dark chocolate.
