This single cask release from Isle of Raasay’s Na Sia series (Gaelic for “The Six” and pronounced “neh shee-ah”) offers a deep dive into one of the six styles of single malt produced by the distillery. While the peated ex-Bordeaux casks are typically used in a relatively small portion of the Hebridean blend, their powerful influence provides pronounced notes of oxidized, jammy red fruit and smokey confection.

Na Sia Single Cask Bottlings demonstrates our six unique Isle of Raasay Single Malt recipe casks. Stained red on the outside, these high quality Bordeaux red wine casks are delivered fresh to the island from the châteaux of South West France. In the first few months of maturation, our spirit develops a pink hue in these casks, which turns into a deeper, darker red.

Bold flavours and fruity notes develop in the spirit – including dried fruits, sultana, grape, Christmas cake & bread pudding. Released every 2 years as peated and unpeated spirit.

Depending on the bottle and destination, we use a combination of insulated foam box inserts, custom-fit air column bags, and heavy-weight cardboard shippers to prevent damage. For added peace of mind, we offer shipping protection against loss or damage at checkout through OrderProtection.com.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
