Dalmore Select Edition 2005 18 Year

The Dalmore 18 Year 2005 Select Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a premium Highland whisky that combines tradition and innovation. Distilled in 2005 and matured for 18 years in American white oak and Matusalem sherry casks, it develops a deep, layered complexity. The flavor profile is rich with dark chocolate, marmalade, and spice, balanced by notes of dried fruit and toasted oak. Its smooth finish makes it ideal for savoring on special occasions or gifting to whisky aficionados.

Dalmore is a Scottish distillery known for its single malt Highland whisky and located in Alness, 20 miles (30km) north of Inverness, on the banks of the Cromarty Firth. The distillery gets its name from the so-called "big meadowland" ("dal mór" in Scottish Gaelic) on the Black Isle – the peninsula on the other side of the Firth.

The distillery was founded in 1839 by Alexander Matheson on an isolated site. In 1867 Andrew and Charles Mackenzie took over, introducing the 12-point stag emblem that has adorned bottles ever since.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

Yes. During periods of extreme heat, we can include optional ice packs in our insulated shippers and select an overnight shipping service & a Weather Waiver. Otherwise, it would be unsafe to ship in those conditions. We can also hold your shipment at no charge for up to one year upon request. We flag temps above 72 °F or below 32 °F as extreme.
