Colorado is a state in the American west, bordered by New Mexico to the south and Wyoming to the north. Colorado's vineyards are among the highest in the world, reaching altitudes of 7000 feet (2135 metres) in the Rocky Mountains rivaling the famously lofty Andean vineyards of Argentina.

Rye whiskey is most associated with the United States but usually takes a back seat to the more widespread Bourbon, though it used in many of the classic American whiskey cocktails. It is made in the same way as Bourbon but with rye replacing corn as the key component of the mash. American rye whiskey tends to be smokier, spicier and more intense than Bourbon, with a sweet, tart palate.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

Yes. During periods of extreme heat, we can include optional ice packs in our insulated shippers and select an overnight shipping service & a Weather Waiver. Otherwise, it would be unsafe to ship in those conditions. We can also hold your shipment at no charge for up to one year upon request. We flag temps above 72 °F or below 32 °F as extreme.
