Calirosa Rosa Blanco Tequila
Using the finest 100% blue agave and aged in prized red wine barrels for one month for a smooth, fresh taste and signature rosa glow. In a stroke of brilliance, Dom Dionislo “Nicho” Real (tequila producer since 1942) decided to still use the red wine barrels to age his tequila. The red wine barrel had a beautiful impact on the tequila’s taste, aroma, texture, and signature rosa color.
First produced in the 16th century when Spanish conquistadors ran short of Brandy on their expedition to the New World, Tequila is made by distilling the juice from the heart of the blue agave plant that grows in Jalisco, Mexico. Tequilas can range from clear and unaged, known as Blanco, to darker, barrel-aged Reposado, Anejo and Extra Anejo. Popularized as the essential ingredient to the refreshing Margarita, it is also commonly enjoyed neat or with a side of lime and salt.
