Caiarossa always a great Italianate sensibility despite the international grape varieties and that manifests itself here as olive tapenade, dried herbs and black cherry. Tuscan breeding continues on the palate with fine chalky tannins, a zip of refreshing acidity and, at this nascent stage of its life, a warm toasty undercurrent of oak.

The aromas are balanced and concentrated with blackberries, cassis and slight notes of salt or rusty mineral. The wine is not too constructed or large on the palate, but rather shows a delicate level of elegance. In short, a wine with a perfect balance and excellent quality with always high scores for this Super Tuscan.

Black olives, iodine, salted plums and blackberries here. It’s medium-bodied with firm, creamy tannins. Lovely creaminess, with fresh, savory and saline character. 76% sangiovese, 18% cabernet sauvignon and 6% merlot. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

The Caiarossa 2019 Pergolaia (an organic and biodynamic wine) is Sangiovese with smaller parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The bouquet opens to red and purple fruits with wild plum, dried cherry, potting soil and pressed rose. Those floral tones and mild herbal signatures are what give this wine its very Mediterranean, easy-drinking personality.

A lush, opulent red, featuring blackberry, blueberry, plum, violet and black pepper flavors. Dense, with well-wrought tannins that add support and bolster the lingering finish. Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese and Alicante. Drink now through 2026.

For wine, we recommend storing bottles on their side in a dark, vibration-free environment with good humidity, ideally between 55-60°F. Spirits like whiskey should be stored upright in a cool, dark place (60-70°F) away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.

Yes. During periods of extreme heat, we can include optional ice packs in our insulated shippers and select an overnight shipping service & a Weather Waiver. Otherwise, it would be unsafe to ship in those conditions. We can also hold your shipment at no charge for up to one year upon request. We flag temps above 72 °F or below 32 °F as extreme.
