Highlights
Thierry Richoux Irancy Rouge 2021
This cuvée developed by Thierry Richoux in homage to his grandmother Odette Rojot won over the jury and came close to falling in love. Thirty months of aging in demi-muid gave birth to a powerful and generous wine, which combines spices and toasted notes on the nose. The mouth is rich, dense, powerful and complex (mocha, spices again, red fruits), supported by still firm tannins. Time will soften the edges of this great wine for laying down.
This old family of winegrowers is established in Irancy. She bet on viticulture from the mid-1970s. Gabin and Félix, the two children of Thierry Richoux, are ready to take the reins of the estate. The 23-ha vineyard has been in organic conversion since 2012.
