Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru wines are those produced under the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation, exclusively from grapes grown on premier cru-classified vineyard sites. Gevrey-Chambertin, a village in the Côte de Nuits sub-region of Burgundy, has no fewer than 26 premier cru climats.

Bursting with aromas of cherries, sweet wild berries, coniferous forest floor, spices and smoke, the 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Village is medium-bodied, layered, and melting, with supple tannins, lively acids, a perfumed core of fruit, and a sapid finish. It's the latest installment in what is becoming a series of exquisitely elegant vintages for the Gevrey AOC bottling chez Dugat.

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Village, raised in 40% new oak, has a very pure and charming bouquet, the pure black cherries commingling with raspberry and subtle floral scents. The palate is well balanced with crunchy red berry fruit and a pinch of white pepper. This is a little compact at the moment, yet there is wonderful precision from start to finish. Excellent.
