King Estate Pinot Gris 2019 750ml
King Estate Winery is an Oregon winery in the Willamette Valley best known for its Pinot Gris. Its entire catalogue of wine is fairly large and includes other popular state varieties such as Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
The estate was established in 1991, after Ed King Jr and his son Ed King III had bought a 418 hectare (1033 acre) cattle farm. They planted the property with 450 hectares (1112 acres) of vines and have farmed it strictly using organic practices since. In the mid 2000s, it was one of the largest single-block organic vineyards in the world. Most fruit for King Estate's wines come from this vineyard and the surrounding Willamette Valley, but it sources fruit from the Columbia Valley and the greater Oregon area as well.

Aged sur lie for six months, this lean, clean Pinot Gris gives off aromas of key lime pie, peach fritters and floral notes like winter daphne and gardenia. The wine's brisk mouthfeel and elevated acidity backs flavors of pineapple nougat, green tea and raw almonds.
