AMASS Gin is an expression of a particular place, in this case, Los Angeles. 11 of the gins 29 complex botanicals are sourced from Southern California and 3 of those directly from Master Distiller Morgan McLachlan's home garden. Inspired by the multicultural identity and cuisine of the City of Angels, AMASS uses hibiscus, Reishi mushroom, Lion's Mane Mushroom, California Bay leaf, Cascara Sagrada and 24 other botanicals to paint a vibrant picture of this complex and distinctive identity. With a base of neutral corn and a complex regiment of separate extraction techniques for each botanical category, the resulting spirit is layered and complex yet not so unusual that we forget its gin.

There’s a lot going on in this gin, made with a mix of 29 botanicals, including California grapefruit, California bay leaf and a duo of mushrooms. Yet somehow, it all comes together: the opening salvo is spicy and bold with anise, pepper, and clove, before moving to a waxy lemon peel and juniper midpalate and finishing dry and dusty with suggestions of cocoa powder, coriander, and spicy grains of paradise.
