Buffalo Trace Distillery has operated continuously on the banks of the Kentucky River in Frankfort, Kentucky, producing wheated and rye-based straight bourbons across several distinct mash bills. The core Buffalo Trace Bourbon, available in both 750ml and 1-liter formats, anchors the distillery's standard rye-recipe mash bill aged in new charred American oak. The wheated side of the portfolio includes Weller Special Reserve and the highly allocated Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year and Van Winkle Special Reserve Lot B 12 Year, all drawing from the same low-rye wheat-forward recipe. Blanton's contributes three single-barrel expressions - the original Single Barrel, Gold Edition, and the Japanese-market Takara Black Label - each drawn from Warehouse H.
