Tio Pesca Mezcal Ancestral transports us to the past through four varieties of agave endemic to Oaxaca: Arroquerio, Coyote, Mexicano, and Tobala. Each is produced by Fernando Mitra and his family in picturesque Sola de Vega, Oaxaca. Its rain-blessed hills, forests, and vegetation all make this a special place for diverse agaves to grow. The region's altitude brings them one closer to the clouds as the southern Sierra Madre mountain range elevates these magueys to the gods.

AGAVE SUSTAINABILUTY:
Santa Sabia's goal is to annually reforest more than 120 acres of wild agaves endemic to Oaxaca by seed propagation. This method is best for strengthening the genetic diversity of agaves. We apply sustainable farming methods to prevent soil erosion and allow for at least five percent of plants to mature and blossom so they can be pollinated and reproduce naturally.
