Simon Bize Savigny Les Beaune Rouge 1er Cru Aux Vergelesses 2018
The 2018 'Aux Vergelesses' pours a hale ruby in the glass and the nose features lush dark cherry and crushed violets. There’s a well-integrated combination of spice and damp earth as well. The palate has a nice density of sweet fruit but with wonderfully tight tannins that are nonetheless not drying. Svelte, youthful, and with the excellent balance from fresh acidity, this is a great Bize to enjoy without requiring too much patience. We're happy to offer this at the lowest price in the country.
