Longmorn

View Full Description [+ Read More]

Longmorn is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery founded in 1894 in the Speyside region of Scotland, operating floor maltings well into the twentieth century and using traditional copper pot stills fired by steam. The distillery produces a characteristically rich, fruited Speyside style, drawing on a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry cask maturation across long aging programs. Independent bottlers including Gordon and Macphail, Blackadder, Duncan Taylor, and Scott's Selection have released notable vintage expressions from distillations as early as 1958, with sherry cask releases like the 1968 Mackillops Choice and 1973 Blackadder showing deep oxidative complexity. The 15 Year Old Old Release represents the more accessible end of the range, while decades-aged single casks such as the 1976 D&M Aficionados' Club and 1973 Duncan Taylor Cask Strength sit at the apex.
