Greece produces wine across a diverse network of appellations and island terroirs, alongside spirits including vodka and vermouth rooted in local botanical and agricultural traditions. Indigenous varieties dominate the vineyards: Assyrtiko, grown from Santorini to Crete and Serres as seen in bottles from Nerantzi and Domaine Economou, delivers mineral-driven whites with high natural acidity, while Moschofilero, the aromatic pink-skinned variety central to Troupis, yields both conventional whites and extended-maceration orange wines. Agiorgitiko, the red variety of Nemea, appears in Troupis's Fteri, offering fruit-forward structure. Domaine Glinavos works with Paleokerisio, an ancient Epirus field blend vinified as an orange wine. Beyond the vineyard, Kastra Elion vodka draws on Greek olive influence, and Ottos Athens Vermouth reflects the country's Mediterranean herb landscape. Domaine Economou's aged Assyrtiko from Crete represents the more collectible end of Greek white wine production.
